Verdict
The hurdling debut of Orangerie at Sandown last season left the impression that there is plenty more to come from the Philip Hobbs-trained gelding. Hobbs has been patient with the son of Darshaan since then and he can glean the first slice of his returns if Orangerie is ready to go first time out. The market will obviously give the best indications towards the confidence behind Irish Distinction, who was joined Martin Pipe after he showed great determination in winning a claimer at York last month. Detonateur and Knocktopher Abbey have hardly set the world alight as yet so the lightly weighted Tealby may be the best of the rest.
