In depth
Formwatch
Hard To Start (IRE) Made his progression to hurdles a winning one having had several runs in Bumpers including a winner; a leading contender today.
Running Times (USA) Won a maiden hurdle at Sedgefield, has since run well for new connections when second at Exeter latest; every chance today.
Take The Stand (IRE) An easy winner penultimate start at Worcester over 3m. BF at Kelso latest, consistent enough form but may find others better.
Astley Gold (IRE) Steps up in trip today, and despite some fairly consistent form others preferred.
Boss Royal His two hurdle starts given minimum encouragement to expect a winning run today.
Igloo D'estruval (FR) A winner over fences who may have lost his confidence a bit so was returned to hurdles latest where he ran surprisingly well over this trip; cannot be ignored.
Russell House (IRE) BF on his hurdle debut but still ran a good race (reported to have hung). Has not been out since but if running well fresh should be in the frame.
Star Man (IRE) Has had one bumper back in April where not disgraced. Likely to have matured since then and best watched over this trip on his hurdle debut.
The Villager (IRE) Impressive bumper form, including at Huntingdon latest. Will have been schooled well; sound chances today.
Up And Over (IRE) Is with trainer number three, but has not shown signs of improvement, and little to recommend on recent form.
Bittern Has only completed half his hurdle starts and was tailed off in the others; others preferred.
