CURRENT EVENT was highly tried over hurdles before making a successful chasing debut when easily account for Super Directa at Fontwell on soft ground in mid-November. He handled very soft ground well in France before joining the champion trainer and is taken to concede 5lb to his solitary rival as he looks a chaser of considerable potential. Sherwani Wolf came up against the useful Invictus first time up but was a little low-key last time and may lack the scope of the Nicholls charge.
