In depth

Verdict

Prince Du Seuil held on by only a neck when beating the re-opposing Flaming Gorge at Plumpton and there should be more to come from him over fences. There's little between that pair here and the latter should be none the worse for being brought down at the first on his latest start. Mister Wiseman bids for a hat-trick after a couple of victories at Uttoxeter but is upped in class off an 8lb higher mark, while recent Exeter runner-up Betabob may need faster ground to show his best. BABE HEFFRON went very close over 2m at Perth when last seen in May, but as this longer trip and heavy going are no problem, Lisa Day's chaser gets the nod having scored at Lingfield off the back of a seven month absence in January.
