In depth

Verdict

David Pipe saddled a winner over fences earlier in the week and FLAMMARION had gone close off similar marks on the Flat during his time with David O’Meara. Ascot Day looks the pick of the trio of entries from Bernard Llewellyn’s team but was well beaten over track and trip by Alkhattaaf last month. The latter was bought cheaply out of the Godolphin operation having showed little for the boys in blue though he was clearly fancied when delivering the goods for new connections last month while Boy George is fresh from a Windsor success.
