Verdict

ROAR OF APPLAUSE is the form pick to land this handicap with both Wilbury Star and My Best Man worth noting. The selection is now seven pounds higher since winning on his handicap debut at Kempton back in November and still looks potentially well treated on his seasonal reappearance and if recapturing that form he will be difficult to oppose. Wilbury Star comes from a yard in fantastic form at present. He caught the eye when second to River Captain at Epsom last time out and has only been raised one pound in the ratings for his troubles so has to be respected once again. My Best Man is still a maiden after twenty starts and is not becoming a frustrating horse to follow. He has run well enough of late but did not act with first time blinkers last time out at Southwell and is not a horse to trust with your last penny.
