In depth

Verdict

Big Meadow disappointed last season but can’t get much lower in the weights and a rest may have recharged the batteries. Clondaw Rigger won here around this time last year and made mistakes before being pulled up on his reappearance. That run will have been needed and he could be a danger while On The Road is another who will strip fitter today. Exxaro never seems to run two races alike, however. THE OGLE GOGLE MAN hasn’t raced since March and is still 4lb higher than when completing a double last December but conditions won’t be a problem and he’ll get every assistance from the saddle.
