Verdict
In race three, we will side with Royal Indulgence to keep his winning run going and he is selected over Our Kes, Trevian and Measured Response. Collateral form comes into play here with Royal Indulgence meeting Measured Response on the same terms as when beating him in an apprentice event at Lingfield eight days, but he is six pounds worse off for the two-and-a-quarter lengths and two-and-three-quarter lengths, respectively, that he beat Spunger and Trevian over course and distance on August 27th. With Spunger possibly not fully appreciating quick going, Trevian might throw down a stronger challenge to the selection today. Time will tell. Our Kes comes here on a winning mark and, given that he has been racing over shorter trips than for that win of late, gets a very good shout. Of the others, Factual Lad is on a winning mark and would have to be given a chance if anywhere near his best, and Libre, who has run pretty well over a mile of late and who is relatively unexposed at today's trip, might go well at a price. The selection, though, is Royal Indulgence.
