Verdict
KAPGA DE LILY was a 66/1 chance and receiving weight all round when winning a four-runner race at Haydock in March. But the third won subsequently off a mark of 130 and Venetia Williams’ lightly-raced mare could be thrown in here on a mark of 100 if she handles the better going. Head Lad showed a big improvement last time at Stratford while Newquay Cards was making progress when last seen. Karl Marx is a previous course and distance winner back on a fair mark and Mere Anarchy made a promising reappearance at Worcester. Maratt started favourite at Plumpton last month but could only muster one pace in the closing stages.
