Verdict

George The Second can get the better of The Grey One, with Bellabelini and Miltons Choice seen as potential dangers. George The Second has been living up to his name of late, finishing runner-up on each of his last two starts, at Warwick and Yarmouth. Without looking anything special, it has to be said that he is better treated on Turf than on the all-weather at present, and with Richard Kingscote able to claim a handy 5lb, it can pay to side with Heidi Sweeting's charge to break his duck. The Grey One may well have gone a lot closer than third had he not drifted across the track at Folkestone last time, but that was still a big improvement on previous efforts and he has to go on the short-list as well. Bellabelini has claims on his second to Tawaaf at Wolverhampton in December, but in the main has shown little, while Miltons Choice might find the going a bit too lively. The market should be noted as regards the remainder, with George The Second the one to be on.
