Verdict

The David Evans-trained Quiquillo ran much better on her most recent start over course and distance when chasing home Lord Of The Dance and she has every chance racing off the same mark today but she is not the most consistent of performers and a better bet may be OPERA PRINCE, who is preferred to Calypso Star. Richard Hannon's colt won a claimer in good fashion at Newmarket last month and he has to be respected back in handicap having been dropped 2lbs since that Newmarket outing. Bryn Palling's Warwick winner Bidable struggled off her new mark at Leicester earlier this month and is likely to do so again and of more interest may be Michael Appleby's recent course and distance maiden winner Cotswold Village, who looks reasonably well treated for his handicap debut off a mark of 69. The vote though goes the way of the Lady Herries-trained Opera Prince, who was not able to justify market favouritism at Warwick last month but looks worth another chance in a race that should not take a great deal of winning.
