Verdict
Beat The Boys should still give a good account despite being 17lbs higher than when winning this race last season but preference is for LE BEAU BAI. Richard Lee's charge runs from the same mark as when third in the Welsh National so looks feasibly treated and has the scope to make further progress after just eight starts over fences. It's been seven years since the winner of this race carried more than 11 stone though so those lower down the weights must be feared and Dom D'Orgeval could be one to go well now that he's recaptured some semblance of form. Ballycarney is open to improvement and hails from a yard that won this two years ago whilst there should also be more to come from Gullible Gordon and they're respected in an open race.
