Verdict

Paul Nicholls has provided the winner of this in three of the last four years. All were French imports as is FULL BLAST, third at Enghien back in March when noted making good late headway. He looks the one to beat today ahead of Brook, another recent arrival from across the Channel who has a penalty to carry after winning at Cluny in May. Russian Bolero ran in Germany on the Flat and also has 7lb extra for winning at Plumpton while Karezak should win races over timber. He was very unlucky not to win on the level having found only one too good in his last five starts up to 1m5f. Golden Doyen may need this but is another worth monitoring.
