In depth

Verdict

Brilliant Cut is taken to land the opener at the expense of Gunnasayso and Lenny The Blade. The selection ran well on his debut at Stratford when finishing fourth of fifteen on his debut but was then out of his depth in better company in a big field at Newbury. Having said that this is a drop in grade and with the stable in such fine form and conditions to suit he is worth siding with once again. Gunnasyso ran well when finishing third in a novice event at bangor back in May but has since been a little in and out of form. He finished mid field in a slightly better race around here last time out and further improvement will be needed. Lenny The Blade has been big prices on both starts to date and is another that will come on for the experience. David Pipe has his string in good order at present so any market moves should be noted for Nanard who ran with promise on his debut when finishing fourth of nine at Uttoxeter. But for the winner we return to Brilliant Cut.
