    Verdict

    Finflash has gone steadily backwards from his early season promise and Urban Dreamer had been going the same way until posting a better effort at Ffos Las a fortnight ago. Muir Lodge has decent claims if building on his debut effort in better company at Goodwood but NOVA CHAMP wasn't caught until inside the final furlong over 6f at Leicester last time and Stuart Williams' colt gets the nod over today's minimum trip. Captain Devious makes little appeal on breeding and may be watched.
