Verdict

Kingsplace ran three times here last season, finishing second twice with one of those coming over this distance. He was last seen running in a Grade 1 at Aintree in April but gives the impression he’s not been easy to train. Port Of Mars was well beaten when second at Leicester following a lengthy lay-off but will strip fitter here, though SOME DETAIL is preferred. He couldn’t match the finishing pace of Welsh Saint at Warwick so this further step up in trip might suit.
