In depth

Verdict

Sissinghurst Storm, Happy Shopper and Ebony Jack are three against the field in another trappy affair and the tentative nomination is given to Happy Shopper. The selection was very disappointing last time out but prior to that he had been in good form, the return to this faster surface should suit and off what remains a fair mark he looks the value bet in an open affair.Sissinghurst Storm rates the main danger as he won well last time when beating Southerndown. However this looks more competitive and his penalty may just find him out. Ebony Jack has been in good form of late and is another that could go well but he is best when the mud is flying and is opposed for that reason. Of the remainder Kausse de Thaix has dropped to a handy mark and could go well at a price if the fitting of a first time tongue tie has the desired effect but for the winner we return to Happy Shopper in the hope that he can bounce back to form on this faster surface.
