In depth

Verdict

GREG THE GREAT was having only his fifth start when Georgia Dobie brought him with a late run to get up on the line over the course and distance last month. He's up 4lb but progressing fast enough to defy the extra. Gilbert, who was beaten just under four lengths, will be 6lb better off despite having scored under the same rider at Brighton so should get closer. Fast Danseuse was well supported at Nottingham though showed no sign of improvement but Coul Universe showed a bit more dash on his handicap debut and return from a long break at Lingfield last week.
