Verdict

Silent Steps won a mares’ handicap over course and distance just over 12 months ago and was successful twice at Southwell in the spring. She has only been raised a pound so should be thereabouts again. Kapga De Lily looked much improved at Bangor but the handicapper has put her up 9lb and she has never raced over a trip this far before. Trip and conditions will suit No No Juliet and she is interesting having a first run for the in-form Fergal O’Brien but we’ll take a chance on OVERAWED as John Groucott’s mare is generally best at this time of year and it was very encouraging to see her staying on into second at Bangor having got a second wind. Ballybough Nora is held on that form and Miss Zip will have to pay a price for last season’s exploits this term.
