In depth

Verdict

Belle De Manech had an alternative engagement yesterday at Fontwell. Valse Au Taillons has been in good form this season since a pipe-opener. She’s won twice and should make a bold bid to defy a further 5lb rise. Page Fuller gave Our Dot's Baby an enterprising ride in a conditionals’ race at Newbury earlier this month but an 8lb rise looks harsh. The interesting one may be FARNE, who has only won a maiden so far but has been quite highly tried throughout her career and starts off in handicaps on a fair mark. Vegas Blue doesn’t look an easy ride and has questions to answer now, though the drying ground will help and she makes more appeal than the exposed Coded Message.
