In depth

Verdict

A wide open hunter chase in which many can be given chances and the betting may prove the best guide as to what is expected. Cherry Gold has been in fair form between the flags of late and is proven on the ground and if he takes to regulation fences he will be hard to beat. Grizzly Golfwear rates the main danger. He was a fair third behind Hanakham at Bangor last time out and a reproduction of that effort would see him go close. Mensch was second behind Jabiru last time out and is another proven on the ground but this looks a more competitive affair. Waders would be another with a chance on his best form but he has a poor completion record over regulation fences. Longstone Boy is another in form in point-to-points but his best efforts have come with more cut in the ground. Of the remainder Noaff has a top jockey booked and is worth a cautionary look in the market.
