In depth

Verdict

A bunch of in and out performers here and the 13 year old Even More, up 10lb for his recent win is selected ahead of Alfasonic and Snoopy Loopy. A minor worry with the selection is the fact he is best fresh but travelled eye catchingly well last time before scoring. His capable claimer reduces the hike with his 7lb claim and the old timer is selected to score. Alfasonic has reserves of stamina highlighted by his second at Towcester last time in heavy ground. Quicker ground conditions would be a slight worry but he is off the same mark as last time. Snoopy Loopy showed a return to form might not be far away when travelling well for a long way last time. At a big price he might give supporters a run for their money but Even More is selected to land this long distance handicap chase.
