Verdict
The David Evans-trained Dr Mathias has disappointed since landing a Ffos Las claimer in September but has every chance judged by official BHA ratings so cannot be discounted but Jim Best's LASTKINGOFSCOTLAND has an obvious chance at the weights and on recent form and is hard to oppose with the main danger rated as Castleburg. Gary Moore's filly has her first outing on turf since her debut as a two-year-old in September 2008 and she has claims having been running well in similar grade on the Polytrack of late. As well as Dr Mathias, David Evans is also represented by Blue Noodles, who is more experienced than most of his rivals after 19 starts and he should appreciate the return to turf having disappointed in his two starts on artificial surfaces this term. Harry Dunlop's Set To Go needs to improve on all known form to take a hand in a race taken to go to Lastkingofscotland. Jim Best's gelding won well in a Folkestone seller last month and has run well in handicaps in two starts since then, most recently when a close fourth at Lingfield on Friday, and he should be too good for his rivals in this company.
