In depth

Verdict

I Confess, Light From Mars and Blue Spartan make most appeal in this maiden and we will put forward I Confess as the one to beat. The selection has got some decent juvenile form for Kevin Prendergast in Ireland and he looks the percentage call here on his first run for his new yard. He should come for his recent run at Dundalk and he can finally lose his maiden tag. Light From Mars shaped with promise on his racecourse debut at Nottingham and he should learn plenty from that experience so he merits plenty of respect. Blue Spartan stepped-up on his debut run to show improved form at Windsor last time, so he is another to consider if he can continue on his upward curve. Marcus Tregoning won this race last year so Askar Tau could be worth a look in the market, but this looks a good opportunity for I Confess who gets the vote.
