In depth

Verdict

Colin Tizzard's RUDIVALE ran better when a fair third behind Senor Shane on soft ground at Taunton last month and he may be worth siding with off the same mark today in a race that should not take a great deal of winning, with the main dangers rated as Ballymorn and Star Galaxy. The last mentioned won his second race in his last three starts when getting the better of Rince Donn at Hereford earlier this month but a 7lb rise for that win looks harsh and he may be best watched. Richard Newland's Glimmer Of Light has shown gradual improvement in recent starts and has slipped back to a winning mark so cannot be discounted, while Evan Williams saddles two runners in Buailteoir and New Rackheath but both need to step up on recent efforts to get involved at the business end. Henrietta Knight's Ballymorn won well at Towcester last month and has claims on that showing but he struggled off his new mark at Fontwell last time and may have to settle for a place at best behind Rudivale.
