In depth

Verdict

STOW won't mind the ground and goes well over C&D. He's 6lb higher than when runner-up in this 12 months ago but his promising young rider's claim negates the majority of that and he looked to be on the way back here at the start of the month. Venetia Williams' gelding gets the vote though novice Rev It Up should go close again having lost nothing in defeat when second at Deireadh Re in a Grade 2 at Cheltenham last time. Stablemate Makhzoon lacks a recent run, however, as do Extreme Impact and Strategic Approach but Palace Jester won at Ffos Las before finishing a fair third at Aintree.
