In depth

Verdict

Ajero, who is making his Flat debut, boasts a terrific strike-rate over hurdles, though fell when odds on at Huntingdon last month. Earth Giant was a disappointing favourite at Wolverhampton 10 days ago but Lost Gold made a winning debut at that track in December and can’t be ignored, despite shouldering a penalty. Luminous Light is also penalised for winning at Goodwood last summer so is giving 7lb to Nathanael Greene, gelded after a staying-on third over this trip at Lingfield in the autumn. ECHO CHAMBER is a half-brother to three winners including the Group 2 and Group 3 winner Boomer. She led for a long way until getting outpaced on her Newmarket debut in October and the extra 3f here should be right up her street.
