Verdict

MAN OF THE MOMENT would be an apt 3000th winner for Tony McCoy if the coincidence arises and Jim Best's gelding is fancied to win under his penalty; the shortlist consists of Sarah's Gift, Rash Moment and Wasntme in a weak looking handicap. Jim Best's gelding was a comfortable winner last time out on soft ground at Towcester and he seems to have improved for the application of blinkers. With the ground no problem for this son of Silver Patriarch a big run is expected before the handicapper hands out his punishment. It would be no surprise surprise to see Cilla Black bounce back after falling last time, but a more likely danger looks to be Zimbabwe who is back on a winnable mark. Wasntme is unexposed and he was in the process of running a big race when falling last time at the track, and he steps up markedly in trip today, Rash Moment is consistent if somewhat unspectacular, whilst Walton Way represents a trainer in fair form. At a price Montana Gold may improve on his form now this son of Bob Back encounters a fence and the stable landed a tidy gamble with a similar sort earlier this week, however it is Man Of The Moment who can make history.
