Powerallied seeks a fifth course and distance victory but is 8lb higher than when successful in this last year though is in good form, has a decent draw and should give a good account again. Richard Fahey also saddles the luckless Growl while Shaheen has already won three times this year and his run at Windsor is best ignored as he reared as the stalls opened and lost all chance. However, John Quinn’s three-year-old has a wide draw to overcome, as does the speedy Copper Knight. The latter’s stable also run veteran Confessional but DARK SHOT (NAP) is more interesting. Though on a bit of a losing run, Scott Dixon’s sprinter has been dropped a further pound since an unlucky fourth at Goodwood and he has the pace to cope with a slight drop in distance. Show Stealer and Reputation look the pick of the remainder.
