Verdict
In the opener, Quick Release is selected ahead of Calistos Quest and Prince Desire. Quick Release made a very pleasing debut when second to Easy Target over six furlongs at Nottingham. With the winner having gone on to win since, the form is solid and he can go well today. The Mark Johnston-trained Calistos Quest cost 60,000 guineas and can surely build on his Sandown debut, although his wide draw is a concern. Barry Hills loves to have winners at this venue and he runs Prince Desire, who has shown promise on each start, although he too could have fared better with the draw. Intersky Melody, Lady Rochbonne and Liani have all shown promise and, finally, the Clive Brittain-trained Mahadee cost 50,000 guineas and is certainly of interest on his debut and Hold The Gold is surely better than he showed on his soft-ground York debut. For the selection, though, we will stick with Quick Release.
