      Verdict

Indira won easily at Bath on Monday under Josephine Gordon but now has a 6lb penalty to contend with. Gabrial The Duke seems best on the all-weather nowadays and Newera and The Character were both due to run in the finale here yesterday. Graceland was second at Chelmsford last month but course winner Trendsetter lacks a recent run. Ireland holds a strong hand in this with Racing's Dream having a pipe-opener over hurdles last month and REPEATER running a cracker behind Alveena at Leopardstown. Amanda Mooney's charge, a decent stayer for David O'Meara a couple of years ago, has found some form again and still looks well treated.
