In depth

Verdict

Castara Bay gets the narrow vote here with Plane Painter and Still Calm rated as the main dangers. The selection made a pleasing debut and then stepped-up on that effort last time when finishing a close third behind Rallying Cry at Newmarket. He is well-drawn here and with more improvement anticipated he sets the standard for the rest. Plane Painter has to be of interest as he made a pleasing debut at Sandown when finishing third behind Overturn. However, he is bred to be better over further in time and for that reason we will take him on. Still Calm is an interesting newcomer from a yard that do well on this track and a market move for him should be noted. Fourfoot Bay has shown some fair form but is not ideally drawn and with all this in mind for the winner we will return to Castara Bay.
