Verdict
QUESTIONING beat Twice Over in a Grade 3 at Newmarket last month but couldn't quite cope with heavy ground when beaten again by Doncaster conqueror Penitent in a Group 2 at Sandown next time. Provided the going remains soft he should take this. Godolphin complicate matters by running both Hunter's Light, a Listed winner on Polytrack at Lingfield in November, and Prince Siegfried, a long way behind his stablemate at Goodwood in September and well beaten by the selection at Newmarket. Wigmore Hall has a Group 1 penalty for his brilliant victory at Woodbine in September and he's a class act at his best. His latest run at Longchamp should be ignored as he wasn't suited by the heavy ground but he wouldn't want any more rain. Marcret was a useful performer in Italy and has been in good form at Meydan during the winter.
