        Verdict

        Alignak hasn’t raced since winning this contest last year and shares the same rating as ALOUNAK (NAP). The latter won the Old Newton Cup at Haydock before finishing third in the Ebor and a bold bid is expected back at this level. The latter’s stablemate Invite came up short in the Italian Oaks and takes on older horses for the first time but Throne Hall showed signs of a return to form when second at York and makes more appeal than Wells Farhh Go. The rest have plenty to find on these terms including the Irish raider Dhabyah.
