Verdict

Veracity, Crime Scene and Strategic Mount are the trio for the shortlist and the vote is given to VERACITY. Godolphin's 4-year-old has not been seen out since running in the St Leger last season, but if he is fit enough to do himself justice then he should have too much class for his rivals today. Crime Scene was a little disappointing last time but the ground today will suit and on the pick of his form he would have to enter calculations. Strategic Mount was far from disgraced in a Listed race here last time when he chased home Red Gala. His ability to handle the track is a plus for him, but he will need to improve to get the better of our selection. Cheshire Prince is a course specialist but he looks outclassed today, while Foxhaven was well beaten when last seen out, albeit in a Group contest. If Veracity is fully tuned-up here then he will be hard to beat.
