The handicapper looks to have caught up with the progressive Postscript given he could only manage third last time, albeit in a more competitive race than this. St Ignatius has gone off the boil since landing a hat-trick earlier in the year while the drop in distance may not suit Bright Applause as his recent double at Ripon came over 1m4f. Brockfield also scored at Ripon last time though a 4lb rise may be enough to prevent a follow-up but Rosie Jessop's 5lb claim negates most of LIEUTENANT KOJAK's winner's penalty. The latter scored at Epsom on Thursday and looks capable of going in again in this similar company.
