In depth
Verdict
A wide-open handicap here for punters with very little between many of the leading rivals but the principals look to be Compton's Eleven, Red Romeo,Buy On The Red and Commando Scott, with the vote going to Compton's Eleven. The selection was a good second behind River Falcon last time out off the same mark. He has run well here before and, with the softer ground sure to suit, he will be hard to beat. Red Romeo rates the main danger. He was a good second behind Commando Scott last time but is better off with that rival here. He has definite place claims but the double-figure draw is off-putting. Commando Scott also has place claims despite rising in the weights, as he looks to have a fair draw. Buy On The Red is another that could go well as he will not mind the ground. He had no luck in running last time and if he gets the breaks here he would be a danger to all. Of the remainder, High Voltage and Tribute have plot draws and could improve on their latest form so are worth noting in the market but for the winner we return to Compton's Eleven.
