Verdict

Lowther usually runs well here and is 3lb better off with Kyllachy Star than when third to Richard Fahey's gelding over C&D just over two weeks ago. The latter's stablemate, Brae Hill, rarely runs a bad race and was a good fourth in the Victoria Cup at Ascot last time while Man Of Action was second to the useful Side Glance off this mark at Ascot last July and, though unraced since, must go on the short-list along with Our Jonathan, though Kevin Ryan's charge is trying a longer trip today. BALCARCE NOV has run more bad races than good of late but wouldn't be the first to have his fortunes revived by a dash around the Roodeye and Tom Tate's six-year-old is very well handicapped on his best form. He could be the value in a competitive-looking heat.
