Verdict
BATRAAN won at Doncaster last time despite failing to get a clear run. A 4lb rise looks unlikely to anchor Roger Varian’s colt and he can go in again. Ava Go Joe returns to the minimum trip and has claims on earlier placed efforts while Ancient Times won over 6f on the Turf at Lingfield on his penultimate start. Both Kim Wexler and Bert Kibbler scored over today’s distance on the all-weather earlier in the year but Lost My Sock is preferred returning to this venue for the first time since winning over track and trip in June.
