In depth

Verdict

Demonstrative's run behind Showcasing on his penultimate start looks even better now but with Mark Johnston's charge not ideally berthed we side with the progressive LAYLA'S BOY and Poor Prince also makes the shortlist in this maiden. Well drawn the selection has found mild progression in all three starts so far and while he missed a good opportunity last time out when a beaten favourite he may have just bumped into one from a yard on form that day so he's worth another chance. Demonstrative was a winner in his native America and made an average start to life racing in the UK. That race in hindsight is looking hot and having found vast improvements on his second start for his top yard last time he should improve again. The Clive Cox team are going well at the moment and Poor Prince should be in the picture again after holding his encouraging form on his second outing. Banks and Braes was promising on his only run and should improve for the outing but with more experience to call on Layla's Boy gets the nod.
