In depth

Verdict

Every Second has been threatening to win a race and he can make it count today; River Rye and Countrywide City rate as the main dangers. The selection lost no caste in defeat last time out when he chased home the useful Viva Ronaldo at York. Admittedly he had finished behind River Rye at Windsor previously but we believe he has progressed from that run and from a good draw he can turn the tables. In contrast, River Rye was a little disappointing at Pontefract last time and although this return to the minimum trip will help, she looks one to have reservations about. Countrywide City has got some solid form but he has been done no favours by the draw today and that will make life tough. Alan Berry does well with his runners here so That Boy Ronaldo is worth a market check. However, for the winner we will stick with Every Second who can finally break his duck.
