In depth
Verdict
Several unexposed types to concentrate on, non more so than Inglis Drever. Sir Mark Prescott's charge impressed when bolting up at Nottingham, despite covering more ground than ideal. Turned out just four days later, he was then just denied at Newcastle. He races off a 5lb higher mark here and cannot be left out of calculations. Short Respite comes here with her confidence sky high, after winning a couple of minor events and although she has more on her plate in this, she is not without a chance. Tertullian will be more at home in his age group after tackling his elders last time, while Sosumi, who made her seasonal re-appearance in the 1000 Guineas, will be more at home at this level, although she has plenty to prove now. The vote goes to Sequential, who showed the right attitude to deny Octane here earlier in the month.
