      Verdict

      Intransigent has not won since 2014, the year he landed this prize. He was behind Eastern Impact when the latter won last year’s renewal and Richard Fahey’s charge is closely matched on these terms with DANZENO. The latter should get a good tow round in this and go close if running anywhere near the level that saw him finish second in a Listed sprint at Salisbury last month. Aeolus has been competing in tougher contests but is hard to catch right and had an alternative engagement yesterday while Pretend has yet to match his impressive form on the all-weather last year. Out Do, another due to run yesterday, has also yet to show his best this year and the in-form Hillbilly Boy has a tough task on these terms having landed a double over longer trips at the track recently.
