Verdict

Marty's Magic started a short-priced favourite for his racecourse debut in a Galway bumper in July but was narrowly beaten. He was a long odds-on chance a month later in a similar race at Cork but disappointed. John Oxx has had a poor season by his lofty standards and Palace Of Winds has yet to contribute to the campaign's meagre tally of winners. She's been looking one-paced over 1m4f but her pedigree suggests this could be her trip. However, ORATOR looks the one to be on as he has been narrowly beaten in his last four starts, two of them over this trip at the Curragh, and he found a mile just on the short side at Dundalk last month.
