Verdict

Dantes King was in good form on fast ground last summer but hasn't run since July and the conditions are against him. Mazuri Cowboy scored over hurdles in December but couldn't take advantage of a lower chase rating at Gowran last month and is held by Viaduct Joey on earlier form. Mister First has been racing in slightly better company but doesn't win very often and Mackeys Forge is still a maiden over fences after 21 starts. Golden Ticket shot up the weights after landing a novices' handicap at Naas and has been unable to cope while Kakagh hasn't made the expected progress. Hidden Crack won this a year ago and though running moderately has to be on the shortlist in a race where so many have questions to answer. MORE MADNESS is just about the only one with scope and, as he ran very well before running out of steam over 3m at Down Royal last time, he looks the one to be on.
