Verdict

Stephen Connor rode a bumper winner in this series a couple of weeks ago and dual hurdles winner Walnut Beach should give him a good ride. Tom and Charlie Mullins teamed up with Excelsius to win this two years ago and the lightly-raced Kottayam, the winner of a bumper and a Flat maiden for Willie Mullins, could outrun his likely odds here. WILD SHOT has had a couple of decent runs over timber since easily landing a Tramore handicap and John McConnell's charge should get a good ride from Alex Harvey. A Mere Bagatelle has been in good form over fences though may find the ground a bit lively over this trip. Futurum Regem would have to be considered if getting a run after a very good effort at Leopardstown.
