Verdict

This is a good course for front-runners and SIMIEL led for much of the way when landing a maiden here earlier this month. He can improve again and complete a quick double despite this being much tougher. Russian Roulette was carrying a big weight when scoring at Killarney then again when running very well despite a 7lb rise at Roscommon, though he's up another 3lb. He easily holds Badgerfort on that last run though the latter ran very much better when just touched off by Vote Of Confidence at Down Royal. Lasoscar easily landed a Roscommon handicap before dead-heating under 9lb extra back there. He's lightly-raced for his age but another 8lb rise makes this more difficult. Polar Present landed a Limerick bumper then a maiden hurdle at Cork in good style so doesn't look badly treated for her handicap debut.
