In depth
Verdict
Sonic Beat looked ready to gain his first-ever victory after a cracking effort at Tramore earlier this month and started favourite at Punchestown a week later but fell. He's well enough handicapped and looks a threat if completing the course. Tico came closest to scoring over fences when runner-up over 2m4f here earlier this month though a 3lb rise won't help, but winning point-to-pointer Caddy Man should be finding a race soon and he's run well here in the past. WESTERN STAR has only had three runs this year and looked to be approaching his peak when a good third to Whosaidso at Sligo, form that could be good enough for this.
