Verdict

Out Sam won this last year on his only start on the track. He hasn't been in the best of form subsequently but will have been primed for a repeat. Young Paddymc was in the lead when falling two out in a Grade B handicap at Punchestown in May and is on a fair mark as is The Red Menace, who made all for an impressive victory at Galway and makes his handicap debut. Pont Aven is another having his first handicap start and should be suited by the trip and testing ground but the vote goes to the veteran CLOUDY MORNING (NAP). The eleven-year-old was in superb form in the spring after returning from point-to-points, culminating in an easy victory in what looked a very competitive handicap over 3m7f at Punchestown in May. A couple of recent runs, the latest over hurdles, will have him spot-on and he can continue his revival.
