Forebear had shown a bit of promise before being beaten narrowly by Johnny Lawman at Tipperary. That wasn't much of a race but this doesn't appear much better. FULL STEAM AHEAD reappeared after a long absence to run well behind Kernoff at Tipperary. He showed good pace before tiring in the closing stages and, with that under his belt, can go one better. Belts And Braces was trapped on the inside in a five-runner race and never saw daylight at Down Royal. She would have finished very much closer to the winner with a clear run and looks the main threat. The remainder look to be playing for a minor place at best.
